Welcome to Costa Rica!

Upon arrival at San José Airport, our driver will be waiting for you to take you to your hotel in the city. Upon arrival at the hotel a representative will be waiting for you, during this meeting we will explain you the details of your trip as well as expert tips.

• Arrival transfer will be scheduled according to your arrival flight.

The “Costa Rica Amazon” is waiting for you.

Departure in the morning from San José. On the way you will stop to enjoy a typical Costa Rican breakfast. You will board the boat that will take you through this National Park along the main canal to a rustic lodge. Upon arrival at the lodge, a delicious lunch awaits you.

In the afternoon, with your local tour guide, you will go for a short hike in the village of Tortuguero.

After returning to the lodge, the rest of the afternoon can be relaxed by the pool or exploring the surroundings.

• Pick up time in San Jose will be around 06.00 – 06.30hrs.
• Arrival in Tortuguero around noon.
• Turtle nesting season: July – September.
• For the turtle nesting activity: bring dark clothes (long trousers, shoes, shirt or jacket).
• Turtle nesting excursion: cannot be booked in advance, can only be done on site, payment in cash.

Today you will visit with your guide one of the main attractions of the country: the Tortuguero National Park with countless lagoons and canals; the vegetation on the edges forms incredible tunnels, nature shows itself from its most beautiful side: high precipitation rates and an average temperature of 79° F favour the growth of palm trees, ferns and trees with supporting roots; parrots, monkeys, caimans and crocodiles as well as an immense variety of tropical birds live in this magical world of forest and water.

After dinner, during turtle season an optional night walk is offered: Walk along the beach and admire the nesting of the green turtles (from July to September).

After breakfast, you will leave Tortuguero around 9 am by boat. Upon arrival at the small river port, you will continue the trip by bus to a typical Costa Rican restaurant ‘El Ceibo’ near Guapiles for a delicious homemade lunch.

The Arenal area lies within the fertile lowlands of northern Costa Rica, the Arenal Volcano is an unavoidable presence when travelling within this part of the country. It is tall and imposing and has a reputation that precedes it. Arenal’s perfectly symmetrical shape makes it a tourist’s dream, while its abundance of outdoor activities makes it an easy place to tick off your ‘things to do in Costa Rica’ list.

With the rest of the day at your disposal, you can relax by the hotel pool. Nature permitting, you will be able to see the Volcano in the clear.

• Arrival at Senderos Rio Blanco Restaurant around 12:30 hrs
• Shared transfer from Guápiles to Arenal.

In the morning transfer to Monteverde. This transfer will take you to Lake Arenal in a journey that will take approximately 20 minutes, once you arrive you will take a boat for approximately 45 minutes that will take you to the Rio Chiquito area. Once you arrive at the disembarkation point, you will continue your transfer by land until you reach Monteverde.

Once you arrive in Monteverde, you will feel like you are on top of the world, but you have arrived at the central point of the country’s continental divide. In Monteverde, Costa Rica, the sun-kissed faces of beach-dwelling locals are replaced by the warm smiles of farmers, artists, naturalists and outdoor enthusiasts, especially in the small but friendly town of Santa Elena.

Afternoon free to enjoy the beauties of the area or take an optional excursion.

• Shared transfer from Arenal to Monteverde.

The ocean breeze is calling you! After breakfast transfer to the Central Pacific coast, to the beaches of Manuel Antonio.

Rest of the day at your disposal to enjoy the hotel’s facilities and services!

• Shared transfer from Monteverde to Manuel Antonio.

Free day to explore the wonders of the area or enjoy an optional excursion.

Enjoy the morning on the beaches of Manuel Antonio.  Around midday transfer back to San José.

It’s time to say goodbye to this paradise!

Approximately 4 hours before your flight, our driver will pick you up at your hotel and take you to Juan Santamaria International Airport for your trip back home, with unforgettable memories in your suitcase.

If departure taxes ($29.00 per person) are not yet included (check with your airline), please remember to pay them before checking in.

According to airport policy, you must check in for your international flight at least 3 hours prior to departure.
