Welcome to Costa Rica!

Upon arrival at San José Airport, our driver will be waiting for you to take you to your hotel in the city. Upon arrival at the hotel a representative will be waiting for you, during this meeting we will explain you the details of your trip as well as expert tips.

Puerto Viejo De Sarapiquí

In the morning transfer to Sarapiqui region.

The Sarapiqui region forms the largest portion of the province of Heredia. It covers 85% of the total land area. Sarapiquí is known throughout Costa Rica for its amazingly rich biodiversity as well as being a dream destination for adventurous seekers. Located in the northeast of the country and bordered by Nicaragua in the north, Sarapiquí is now a popular getaway for families and excited prospectors.

Boca Tapada

Today the transfer of the lodge takes you through the fertile and picturesque lowlands of San Carlos, passing by pineapple and heart-of-palm plantations.

Experience tropical primary forest by yourself or together with your guide. Multiple trails of more than 10 miles in length facilitate your exploration of this mostly untouched paradise. The variety of animals and plants is staggering, almost unimaginable: red and green poison dart frogs, several types of monkeys and more than 350 species of birds, amongst which you find macaws, toucans and hummingbirds. This region is one of the few where the Great Green Macaw, in danger of extinction, can still be seen. y canoe you can enter the lagoons quietly in order to discover hidden estuaries with bromeliads, nesting bats and bright green “Jesucristo” lizards (called like that because they can walk on water).

Continue your journey to the Arenal region. Located within the fertile lowlands of northern Costa Rica, the Arenal Volcano is an unavoidable presence when travelling within this part of the country. It is tall and imposing and has a reputation that precedes it. Arenal’s perfectly symmetrical shape makes it a tourist’s dream, while its abundance of outdoor activities makes it an easy place to tick off your ‘things to do in Costa Rica’ list.

Santa Elena

In the morning transfer to Monteverde. This transfer will take you to Lake Arenal in a journey that will take you approximately 20 minutes, once you arrive you will take a boat for approximately 45 minutes that will take you to the Rio Chiquito area. When you arrive at the disembarkation point you will continue your transfer by land until you reach Monteverde.

Once you arrive in Monteverde, you will feel like you are on top of the world, but in reality, you have arrived at the central point of the nation’s continental divide. In Monteverde, Costa Rica, the sun-drenched faces of beach-dwelling locals are replaced by the warm smiles of farmers, artists, naturalists and outdoor enthusiasts, particularly in the small but pleasant town of Santa Elena.

Approximately 4 hours before your flight, our driver will pick you up at your hotel and take you to Juan Santamaria International Airport for your trip back home, with unforgettable memories in your suitcase.
