Welcome to Costa Rica!
Upon arrival at San José Airport, our driver will be waiting for you to take you to your hotel in the city. Upon arrival at the hotel a representative will be waiting for you, during this meeting we will explain you the details of your trip as well as expert tips.
- Arrival transfer will be scheduled according to your arrival flight.
Sleep Inn Hotel Paseo Las Damas
Located in downtown San Jose, Sleep Inn Hotel Paseo Las Damas surroundings includes restaurants, corporate centres, nightlife and cultural attractions such as beautiful parks, the historic Paseo Las Damas Avenue and the Casino Club Colonial.
The hotel boasts king and double bedrooms, each of which is modern in design and features air-conditioning, a microwave, refrigerator, a work desk and Wi-Fi. Guests can look forward to starting the day with a complimentary buffet breafkast served at the hotels 24 hour Magnolia Restuarant. The “Costa Rica Amazon” is waiting for you.
Departure in the morning from San José. On the way you will stop to enjoy a typical Costa Rican breakfast. You will board the boat that will take you through this National Park along the main canal to a rustic lodge. Upon arrival at the lodge, a delicious lunch awaits you.
In the afternoon, with your local tour guide, you will go for a short hike in the village of Tortuguero.
After returning to the lodge, the rest of the afternoon can be relaxed by the pool or exploring the surroundings.
- Pick up time in San Jose will be around 06.00 – 06.30hrs.
- Arrival in Tortuguero around noon.
- Turtle nesting season: July – September.
- For the turtle nesting activity: bring dark clothes (long trousers, shoes, shirt or jacket).
- Turtle nesting excursion: cannot be booked in advance, can only be done on site, payment in cash.
Laguna Lodge Tortuguero
Laguna is an eco-touristic lodge, located in Tortuguero in the northern Caribbean of Costa Rica. The area has amazing rivers, lakes and wetlands that shelter a lush jungle of primary forests and exotic plants.
The lodge is built on a narrow strip of land, 650 feet wide, between Tortuguero´s main lagoon and the Caribbean Sea. Its rooms, reception, restaurant, bar and swimming pools are distributed amidst six acres of wonderful gardens with amazing views of the lagoon and direct access to the beach.

Today you will visit with your guide one of the main attractions of the country: the Tortuguero National Park with countless lagoons and canals; the vegetation on the edges forms incredible tunnels, nature shows itself from its most beautiful side: high precipitation rates and an average temperature of 79° F favour the growth of palm trees, ferns and trees with supporting roots; parrots, monkeys, caimans and crocodiles as well as an immense variety of tropical birds live in this magical world of forest and water.
After dinner, during turtle season an optional night walk is offered: Walk along the beach and admire the nesting of the green turtles (from July to September).

After breakfast, you will leave Tortuguero around 9am by boat. Upon arrival at the small river port, you will continue the journey by bus to a typical Costa Rican restaurant ‘Senderos Rio Blanco’ near Guapiles for a delicious homemade lunch.
The rental company will deliver the car to you at the Senderos Rio Blanco Restaurant, after which you will drive to your next destination, Puerto Viejo.

Here amidst the exotic flora and fauna, lies a vibrant seaside town with gorgeous beaches, crystal clear blue waters, and some of the most amazing surfing opportunities.
